Professional Summary

Mr. Rakestraw's practice includes all areas of intellectual property law. His work is primarily devoted to the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the chemical and pharmaceutical fields, both in the United States and abroad. Representative areas include agricultural chemicals, industrial chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and the processes and apparatus used to produce these chemicals.

Mr. Rakestraw received his Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, in 2010 from the Southern Illinois University School of Law, where he served as the Student Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Legal Medicine. During law school, Mr. Rakestraw was also a member of the Moot Court Board, where he received awards for Champion and Best Brief of the intramural competition.

Mr. Rakestraw is a member of the Missouri Bar Association and the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis.
