Our professionals participate meaningfully in a wide array of pro bono legal work and voluntary non-legal efforts that make a difference in the lives of others in their communities.
The Firm is devoted to making pro bono work a vital part of our professional culture. We value this public service tradition, which allows our lawyers to use their skills to address not only the needs of clients, but also matters of public concern. In addition to free representation that our lawyers provide on an individual basis, the Firm performs pro bono work for organizations such as Legal Services of Eastern Missouri and St. Louis Volunteer Lawyers and Accountants for the Arts. One of our attorneys recently received the 2011 award from Legal Services of Eastern Missouri for outstanding pro bono dedication in providing legal assistance to elderly and low income people.
In addition to pro bono legal work, we feel it is vital that we assist members of our communities through non-legal commitments. Our legal professionals are involved in community service on the local, state, and national levels. Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
- IP Task Force service.
- Lay Review Committee member involved in grant review and community outreach.
Women's Foundation of Greater St. Louis
- Board member and Chair of Grant Committee to fund charities that improve the status of women and girls in the region.
Motion for Kids
- St. Louis Bar Association outreach/community service for children in foster care or with a parent in prison.
National Advisory Eye Counsel
- Appointment by the Secretary of Health & Human Services to serve on the Counsel, which is an advisory committee of the National Institutes of Health.
- Analysis of research grants for funding.

- Board member for organization supporting restorative justice programs in the St. Louis Metropolitan area.
American Cancer Society
- Recruitment Chair for the St. Louis division of the American Cancer Society's DetermiNation Endurance Team.
Ronald McDonald House Charities
- Kids & Clays Committee member.
