Senniger Powers Attorneys Ranked Among Best in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS (February 15, 2005) – Senniger Powers, a leading national intellectual property law firm based in St. Louis, is proud to announce the inclusion of Michael Godar and John Roedel, Jr.’ in St. Louis Magazine’s annual list of the best lawyers in the metropolitan area. The list was compiled for the magazine by Woodard/White, Inc. as part of its 11th edition of The Best Lawyers in America, the acclaimed reference work listing the nation’s top attorneys.

Woodard/White, Inc. conducted a rigorous peer-review survey to compile the list. Attorneys who appeared in the 2003-2004 list were contacted and asked a simple question: “If you had a close friend or family member who needed an attorney and you could not handle the case yourself, to whom would you refer them?” Because of the survey’s unique methodology, it has been recognized by the New York Times, Forbes, the Washington Post and Corporate Counsel Magazine as the premier resource for identifying the best and brightest attorneys across the country.

Mike Godar, partner at Senniger Powers, has been actively involved in the prosecution, licensing and enforcement of U.S. and international patents for more than 25 years. Patents related to the mechanical arts are his primary emphasis, but he also works extensively in trademark law. Godar holds a law degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla.

John Roedel, Jr., partner at Senniger Powers, engages in a wide-ranging intellectual property practice, including litigation, chemical patent preparation and prosecution, and antitrust cases. Roedel has substantial expertise in chemical and chemical engineering patent matters. He holds a law degree from St. Louis University, where he is also an adjunct assistant professor of patent law, and earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
